The first Preserving Traditions event will be Feb. 8th, 2009 from 2-5pm at the Pittsfield Union Grange Hall (Map). Julie Ritter will lead us through pasta-making with several flours and a variety of simple tools. Fresh and dried pasta will be discussed, made, and sampled!
We will provide:
- All ingredients
- Cooking pots
- Dishes and silverware
Please bring as many of the following as you conveniently can:
- Mixing bowls
- Rolling pins
- Pasta machines (hand-cranked roller type)
- $5 donation to cover ingredients and hall rental
